MEGA THEME : Illusion
Rules & Regulations:
1. Impetus is an individual event.
2.A Mega Theme will be provided on the first day of antaragni and the photographs must be taken inside the campus and during four days of antaragni .
3. Size of the pictures should not be less than 1280*960 pixels; this is close to 2.0 mega pixels (for
digital photographs).
4. No editing ( using any software ) allowed.
5. Participants are required to bring their own Cameras. No cameras will be provided by the
organizers.
6. A participant will be allowed to submit a maximum of 4 photographs best of which would be considered for judging.
7.Submit your entries between 11pm to 01am at Photography Desk, Old Sac on 9th-11th Oct 2014.

Cronica is a short film-making competition, the ultimate platform that each artist deserves. Amaze your viewers with your perspective, aesthetic sense, emotion or simple ingenuity of idea. So ignite the director, cinematographer, the sound specialist, the editor or simply an art connoisseur inside you waiting to leap out.
Rules & Regulations:
1. The film should be between 10 to 12 minutes including credits.
2. Entries should have been made after July’14.
3. Each production team will have one to five registered members. Only one entry per group will be
permitted.
4. Any type and number of video or film camera or cameras may be used for filming. Animation and
computer work is also permitted, and you may combine techniques as you deem fit. The teams will
not be provided with any equipment or computers for editing or any other purpose.
5. The content of the film must be appropriate for the public screening. Filmmakers should assume
at most a PG13 mentality when scripting projects. The organizers reserve the right to not screen any
film that deem inappropriate for the public event.
6. If shot in 2.35:1, and/or any type of widescreen format, your film must be letter-boxed for 4:3 or
16:9 ratio. The projector will not be switched to accommodate other ratios. If we cannot view your
film on our equipment, it may be disqualified.
7. Effective portrayal of theme, Editing, Cinematography, Script, Acting, Sound design and overall
impact is used for judging criteria.
8. Films do NOT have to be in English/Hindi, although if you choose to make a film in another
language, it must contain English sub-titles.
9. Entries must be the original work of the Entrant; must not infringe third-party's rights; must be
suitable for public (i.e., may not be obscene or indecent); must not contain obscene or pornographic
material.
10. Entries must be made in accordance with the competition instructions. If they are submitted any
later than the specified closing time, they will be declared invalid.
Submission:
Completed movies (accompanied by the name of the college and details of team members along
with their role in the making of the movie) must be submitted before 11:59, 5th of October2014
in .mpeg or .avi formats only (though .mpeg format is known to provide better quality videos
than .avi) in one of the following ways:

Note that the size of the file may be too large to email depending on your video clip, and your email
provider. In such a case, use one of the other methods.

ADMAD is an event for all those who have the ability to cast a spell on viewers. If you have the power of presentation, then welcome to ADMAD, which challenges your imagination to think smart and think new. You have to make an advertisement for a given theme.
Rules & Regulations:
1. The ad video can be made on any product but the video should not have been made before
July’14. The duration of the video should be between 30 to 90 seconds.
2. Any kind of camera can be used, including mobile phones. No cameras or computers would be
provided to the teams.
3. The content of the film must be appropriate for public screening.
4. Film-makers should assume at most a PG13 mentality when scripting projects. The organizers
reserve the right not to screen any film that they deem inappropriate for the public event.
5. Films do NOT have to be in English/Hindi, although if you choose to make a film in another
language, it must contain English subtitles.

Prelims:

2. There will be a specific theme for prelims and final round .
3. Photos can be taken by DSLR camera or digital camera.
4. Size of the pictures should not be less than 1280*960 pixels; this is close to 2.0 mega pixels (for
digital photographs).
5. Editing of photos by using any software is NOT allowed.
6. Each team should give a caption(short description of photograph) to each photograph.
7. Photos should be submitted online at capture.antaragni14@gmail.com.
During submission, the subject of the mail should be in following format: Fashion_
8. File name of the photograph should be its caption.
9. A team must submit two photographs till the dead line of round.
Dead line : 14th September, 2014.*
10. Studio will be available for the participants for Final Round. Time slots of around one hour will be
given to team for use of studio.
11. Five teams will be selected for the Final Round.
12. Selected participants should come IIT Kanpur for the Final Round.
13. Photographs should be clicked after July’14 and all the photographs must be original work of the
participants.
14. Judging criteria will be based on originality, creativity, Composition , overall quality.
15. Copyrights of photographs with the photographer as well as Antaragni team.
16. Photos should be submitted online.
Finals:
1. Photos can be taken by DSLR camera or digital camera.
2. Only limited Props will be provided by the organizers. Team may bring their own props if required.
3. Photos must be taken in the studio.
4. Editing of photos by using any software is NOT allowed.
5. Participants are required to bring their own Cameras. No cameras will be provided by the
organizers.
6. In final round , a team will be allowed to submit only one photograph after their time slot.
7. Participants should be able to use the studio equipment (Lights, Flash, Tripod etc.)
8. Judging criteria will be based on Focusing, Composition , Use of lights, Placing of subject etc.

The folk dance competition truly depicts the varied culture and traditions of India. From Gujarat's Garba to Assam's Bihu dance, and from Punjab's Bhangra to Goa's Ghode Modni, the folk dance competition, Roots has been and will continue to add colours to the festival.
Rules & regulations:
1. Teams have to perform one of the following dance forms: Alkap, Bhangra, Bhavai, Bihu, Cheraw (bamboo dance) , Chhau, Dhap, Dumhal, Gambhira,Garba (dandiya), Gaur dance, Ghoomar, Ghumura, Giddha, Gondhal, Jawara,Jhoomer, Kalbelia, Karakattam, Koli, Lavani, Naga dance, Odissi, Padhar, Raas.
2. If team wants to perform a form other than those mentioned above, they are required to contact the coordinators well in advance.
3. Time Limit: 5-10 minutes.
4. Team size: minimum 6, maximum 12.
5. Costumes and props would be included in the judging criteria.
Judging Criteria:
Choreography, authenticity (costumes, props, stylistic elements, music etc.), energy, stage coverage, synchronization and overall impact.

3. Composition, lighting, technique and presentation are the main components of the competition.
4. You can use any type of camera and digital camera but make sure it is presentable.
5. Editing Photographs in any kind of software is not allowed (cropping is allowed).
6. Each entry must be the original creation of the entrant and should not contain any third party
content which is not the property of the contestant.
7. Antaragni reserves the right to disqualify entries with offensive or inappropriate content or
those which promote any specific brand, at any point in the contest.
8. The copyright of the pictures will stay with the entrant but Antaragni reserves the right to use
the pictures for their publicity and other activities.
9. One one entry per participant per theme is allowed.
SELECTION AND JUDGING:
The winning entry will be decided based on the following scores:
- Facebook response (depending on the number of likes) (30%).
- Judge’s score (70%), which will be based on the following:

4. Relevance to theme

6. Hindi Bollywood music is strongly discouraged, it can lead to negative marking.
7. The dance floor will be a preferably rectangular one in an open arena.
ROUND 2: FACE-OFF
1. Out of all participants, 4 teams will qualify for this round and will play 2 matches per team in total.
2. This round comprises of teams taking part in street/hip-hop battle against randomly chosen opponents.
3. Each battle would be of 6 minutes with the two teams performing for 30 seconds alternately.
4. At least 1 team member must occupy the stage during the performance of respective teams.
5. It is strictly notified that the face-off is a hip-hop battle and deviation from hip-hop might result in negative marking.
6. Division of a team’s performance time amongst all team members is expected and will be included in the judging criteria.
Judging criteria:
